All owner protection plans include third-party insurance, with protection levels varying by plan. For physical damage reimbursements, owners are responsible for the deductible amount, which varies by plan.
Under each plan, you’ll earn a percentage of the trip price* and be responsible for different deductible levels. When choosing a protection plan, remember that the higher the percentage of the trip price you earn, the higher the deductible and the fewer reimbursements available to you.

Carsan fees:
Parking fee: $75 per month
Carsan collects the parking fee monthly to ensure your car is safely parked during off-trip periods.
Carsan extra fees:
Service fee: $35 per service
The service fee is applied when vehicle maintenance services are provided, including oil and filter changes, tire replacement, battery replacement, and glass replacement. The cost of these services is not included in the service fee.
Repair fee: $95 per service
The repair fee applies for vehicle repair services, including engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, bodywork, and rim repairs. For repairs over $500, a repair fee will be charged; for repairs under $500, a service fee will apply instead.
Delivery fee: $75 (one way)
The delivery fee applies when the Owner requests vehicle delivery between their location and the Carsan lot, or to a dealership, repair shop, or other designated place. Delivery covers up to 15 miles from Carsan; each additional mile costs $5. No delivery fee applies for repairs within 2 miles of the Carsan location.
Claim Fee: $95 per claim
This fee is charged in the event that Carsan processes a claim. It covers the administrative costs associated with managing and processing the claim, including paperwork, communication with the insurance company, and any other related tasks.
Towing fee:
The towing fee is calculated individually in each case based on current towing rates. It applies if the vehicle is not drivable due to mechanical issues and needs to be delivered to a repair facility or another location.
* Trip price includes: rental rate, unlimited mileage, and late return fees.
Trip price excludes: cleaning fees, smoking fees, delivery fees, and other extras provided to guests.
** Insurance is provided under a policy issued to Carsan by a third-party insurance company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. For questions or information about the insurance included in protection plans, consumers may contact Carsan at claims@carsan.com. Liability coverage is up to $750,000. The insurance coverage limit is reduced by any amounts available and paid under any other policy issued to the guest.
***Deductible means the amount you are responsible for in the event of physical damage to your car during a Carsan trip before you’re eligible for reimbursement. For physical damage reimbursements, owners are responsible for the deductible amount first, which varies by plan, and then Insurance would reimburse the rest, subject to terms and exclusions, up to the lesser of the cost of repairs up to the actual cash value of the car, or $110,000.
Remember, Carsan is not an insurance company, and physical damage reimbursement will be provided by third-party insurance.
For instance, if a guest has a fender bender while driving your car and the eligible damage to your car costs $750, and you chose the 50 plan, you’d be responsible for the first $250 of damages, while insurance would cover the remaining $500. If the damage costs are $100, you’d be responsible for the entire amount unless Carsan resolves the claim directly with the guest.
